BCP Seafront Strategy

BCP Council has developed a Seafront Strategy in consultation with those who live, work and visit the area.

The Seafront Strategy was formally adopted by Cabinet on the 13th April 2022; it sets out a bold and exciting vision for a world class seafront leisure offer across 15 miles of coast and 26 miles of harbour-side landscape.

The Cabinet Report (pdf) sets out a prioritisation framework to support investment in our seafront environment, infrastructure and public spaces to help improve the health and well-being of all our residents and visitors as well as providing new and improved facilities for leisure and hospitality.

BCP Council manages more than 40 miles of diverse coastline, incorporating seafront and harbourside areas, from sensitive natural environments to some of the UK’s busiest tourist beaches.
