+Seafront Toilets Refurbishment
BCP Council is currently undertaking a major refurbishment programme for several of our seafront toilet facilities. This initiative aims to introduce a consistent and uniform design across locations—enhancing both functionality and user experience for the community and visitors alike
These upgrades are being made possible through funding from the UK Government’s £4.8 billion Levelling-Up Fund. BCP Council was awarded £19.9 million of Government Funding to deliver 11 impactful infrastructure projects—this refurbishment programme is one of them. Together, we're working to improve public amenities and support a more welcoming, accessible seafront.
Certain facilities may be closed during construction, with signage and alternative provisions in place.

Bournemouth West Exterior Works
A programme of exterior improvement works at Bournemouth West toilets is complete.
The works formed part of an ongoing £840,000 refurbishment of all our seafront toilets, which are being funded from the £20m UK Government grant awarded to BCP Council between 2023 and 2028.
The works aim is to preserve the building’s structural integrity and enhance its appearance and functionality.
